Guess what? My friend Pat Vigil who I worked with overseas also played with you & George Clinton! So funny! Small World and really small! Alex, you are such a lovely person I had a blast working in your bands with all those fun guys. I remember fondly the gigs at places like Club Cohiba, They had GoGo dancers! Crazy! those gigs are like a dream now, those big windows looking down on Long Beach. But Canada is gorgeous and Hubby and me love it here too. Anyhow, Just wanna say Hi! Cool Pix too!

Saw your show at the Rumba Room at Universal City walk and must say you "ROCK" When you played that song by Carlos Santana Europa the crowd just about fell out of there seats it was AWESOME!! you are a true performer who really knows how to perform for a crowd. My girl friends and I had such a great time listening and dancing to your music you have to list on your site where you are performing next so we can come and enjoy your music. Thanks again for being so nice and for making our night one to remember.

Alex has a complete knowledge and a total mastery of his trumpet. His renditions of "Stairway To Heaven" and "Days Of Wine And Roses" takes those songs to a whole new level. "One Night In Rio" and the 3 versions of his composition "One Mo' Time" are excellent examples of Latino music at its finest. "Latin Smooth", Alex Cabrera's new CD, is a must have for anyone's CD collection.

I just came across your website today and I I must say that I am very impressed! You have a great sound and great artistry. I even more impressed(well... maybe a little jealous...lol) that you had Cat Anderson as a mentor. He is not given enough credit for what he has done for the art of trumpet playing! I always tell my students about him, trying to make sure his name stays out there as a reference and not to be forgotten! Take care!
